Garden of the Gods is very nice. Definitely worth driving to the top of Pikes Peak to get a real taste of what high altitude does to you and the views are great. Also catch the Air Force Academy and Flying W ranch. We also did a half day white water rafting. All were great things to do. We also hit the REI store in town which everyone enjoyed.

I am helping set up some activities to do in and around Colorado Springs before my crew arrives at Philmont. We have most of the three days locked up, but there is some time on the second day that is open. I have been trying to find a rock climbing place. I have heard of one called Camp Quest, but I can't find it online. Has anyone been there, and if so, can you tell me 1) where it is in relation to Colorado Springs?, and 2) how much does it cost to do? Our other activities are: doing the whole Arkansas River, climbing Pikes Peak, and the Koshare Indian Kiva.

Thanks,

Pete Johnson
