[Philmont]: Before leaving HOME pre-philmont activities

Complete the rest of the conservation hours needed for the 50 miler award
BEFORE you leave for PHILMONT. Maybe you can work this into some of your
tune ups. Ten hours are required and you only get 3 conservation hours AT
Philmont.

This is a suggestion that I wish I'd received prior to my 2 treks. It is
REALLY hard to get everyone together after you get back, and some boys miss
out on earning this award.

NEXT time I get to go (only GOD knows when), this is what I plan to do......
