Do you have any openings for 1 adult and 1 scout?
Our troop has been shut out so I am trying to get in with another troop
with an opening. We are located in Sun Prairie, Wi so we are just down
the road a bit.
As far as hiking, Devils Lake is a great place to do shakedowns. (But a
bit far for your needs possible...) Our crews went there the last 2
times as starter hikes. Lots of hills and opportunity.
Let me know on the possible openings. I (we) would not be able to leave
until after July 16 so it could work...

Just trying to help - have you inquired via Parks and Rec Services in
those areas? How about the local BSA councils in those areas, last but
not least BSA campground book by on line book store? Just a thought? As
many good people as we have on line hopefully they will be of lot more
help to you than I can be but these were just some quick thoughts to
hopefully help you get started. Good luck and best wishes. Yours in
scouting: Jerry D Bailey

I apologize in advance for the localized nature of this query, so if you
are NOT located in the Midwest or otherwise within driving distance of
southern Wisconsin you may press delete now.
Our crew is training to attend Philmont this summer and I am looking for
any information on hiking trails between Bong Recreation Area near
Brighton, WI and Camp Sol R Crown near Wilmot, WI. It seems like it
might be a walkable distance but I have not been able to locate any
official trails between the two areas.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
