My understanding is that the jet boil system was designed for single person
use. Although I have seen a newer model purportedly for 2 or 4 people. Has
anyone actually tried one with larger groups/larger amounts of water?

In 2004, we used two optimus multifuels for all of the crew cooking and had
coffee every morning. I tent partner made the coffee while I took the tent
down. Had plenty of time and we used 3 litter of fuel for the whole trek
including tea on a few evenings.

Subject: [Philmont]: RE: JetBoil Stoves and Cleaning

Greetings Wade,

My comment was not directed at you or your crew; I guess I should have
prefaced my comments as being more directed to the concept of cooking in
two's as opposed to using JetBoil cooking systems. In the scenario you have
described, the only difference from "normal" is the type of equipment being
used. And in that regard, it is not unlike the use of any canister stove
system other than the Coleman MAX system.

Sorry for any confusion or ill-will

Happy Trails,

Roy Fisher
