RE: [Philmont]: Replacement batteries on the trail

This summer I took a DiMAGE X50 to Philmont, along with 3 fully-charged
batteries. The batteries lasted the entire trip (including the extra day at
Whittington Center and the round-trip train ride from Chicago). I took 600+
photos.

I was careful to use the flash only when absolutely necessary, and kept the
LCD off as much as possible.

If your digital camera has a "mechanical" lens, it will use much more power.

Evening Sir,

WRT the food commissaries along the trail, or at some of the outpost, would

you know if any of them have an electrical plug in order to recharge a
digital camera battery?

Best Regards,

Rick
