My Nikon CoolPix digital will take panaromic shots. I would assume a lot of
other digital cameras do as well. For best results, you're supposed to use a
tripod--that way each shot is level and is taken from the same height.
However, you could probably get by okay with one of those hiking sticks
(Tracks brand, for example) that doubles as a monopod and has a camera mount
on top.
