[philmont] Off topic?

Hello all. I've got the late winter blahs, and am in need of serious trail
time. Spring break on some Arkansas trails is only 2 weeks away!

I have a question for the group. Would you be interested, and would you use
a real, honest-to-goodness Philmont/other high adventure forum? I don't
mean a message list like this e-mail list or the list provided on
www.philmont.com <http://www.philmont.com/> . I mean a real forum with
topics, mods, and the rest.

The reason I ask is that I am being forced to change the web hosting for our
Troop and Crew sites from the free space provided with my internet account
(thanks Time Warner :-(), and will purchase enough storage and bandwidth if
the potential use will be there. I've always wanted to start a real forum,
but just haven't had foot applied to butt yet in order to get it done. This
could also be a conduit to link the other sites/services that you all
provide - philsearch, etc.

This would probably be at least a month or two away. I am just looking for
your thoughts and opinions. There are a few of you out there that could
blog for us on a weekly basis. I'd love that.
