[philmont] stoves

I love my jetboil, but imho JetBoils aren't ur best choice for crew based
cooking. Most meals need more boiled water than a jetboil can handle per
spec, 2.5 cups + and u need that 6 times. One whisperlite does the job for
the whole crew. takes significantly less space, requires less bulk, fuel and
weight, etc.

That said figure 12 or so plus two spares .. 14

We also use Jet Boil stoves and will be taking them to Philmont.
Have you determined how many fuel canisters you'll need per
stove. I am assuming we're going to need to boil water for every dinner
and perhaps 5 breakfasts. We will have one stove per four scouts. I
know there is a difference in boil time at 500 feet (where we're
at), 7,000 feet, and 10,000 feet - just haven't figured out the differences
yet.

Thanks, Dave
