[philmont] More Sister Crew

While it may be true that Philmont CAN offer two of each itinerary, I think they TRY to get a group on EACH itinerary, each day, so that some program areas don't go under-utilized while others are over-utilized. There are what, 40 itineraries, and Philmont doesn't normally start more than 40 crews each day. In my four treks to Philmont (one being the fire-modified season), we have only had a sister crew ONCE (and it was the fire-modified season). And in 2007, we were on "the most popular" itinerary on the ranch, so we figured we'd probably have a sister crew, and we didn't.
 
That being said, Betty will work with you to the fullest extent to make it work for you. If you want a sister crew on the same itinerary, she will make it happen. A suggestion, always remember Betty with your crew gifts at Philmont. She is behind-the-scenes, but without her involvement, none of it would happen. Last year, we gave her a set of our Contingent CSPs and a crew tee shirt. They were small tokens, but she really helps with the logistics, especially with a Council Contingent. YIS.
