I have used this method on and off. I have not used a grate, just a couple
of inches of water in the bottom of the pot. It does have it's plus and
minus. No scorched pots to scrape. I did have one bag rip when we tried to
pick up on the bag for some reason. You'll have to take the bigger pots to
cook in. It's great for mixing desserts in too!
Be sure to practice it alot before going. Our cook had a difficult time
serving out of the bag and we just about had to hoist him up in the bear
bag. It increases your wet garbage.
