Definitely get Coop's advisor's guide. It is well worth it. I don't agree
100% with some of his ideas, such as bring your own equipment - in 4 treks
I've done, we've always used the things that Philmont offers & I've never
had a problem or been sorry - put the wear & tear on their gear & not your
own IMO. But Coop's guide is full of great stuff & I highly recommend!
