The bright, harsh light in the mountains makes taking a well exposed
picture difficult and sometimes impossible. The best 'trick' is to
make liberal use of the flash or fill flash feature on your camera to
put some color into your shots and knock out shadows.

Use 100 or 200 speed film for the best color reproduction.

If available for your camera buy a UV filter to protect the lens from dust,
etc.

Take twice as much film as you think you will need.

Good shooting,
Paul Fairbank
