Hi Brian,
Well, I finally got around to making my phone call to
Philmont.
Some of the itineraries are being changed drastically
while others will have only minor changes. They said to
go ahead and use the 2001 treks book for planning
purposes but "be prepared" so see major changes in some
of the itineraries. In other words, wait until the 2002
treks book arrives to make final decisions on
selections.
I'm going to tell our two crews to use the 2001 book for
"planning" but wait until the 2002 book arrives to
really get serious about their selections.
By the way, the guy leading our council's contingent is
a good friend of Mark Anderson's. My guess is that he
will have the "new" information early and will post it
on our council's web page for our 12 crews to use. If
this happens, I'll let you know.
YiS,
