[Philmont]: Cameras

In 99 I used my Olympus SLR with a 50mm lens and a 70-210 zoom. no problem
with the lighting outdoors, but I didn't get any interior shots of the
fishing lodge or the trading post. And night shots were out of the question.

My son brought a disposable camera that took panoramic shots, and the pics
from Phillips were great. You should consider bringing one or two of these
cameras for the breathtaking vistas at Phillips, Tooth, Baldy and other
sites I haven't been to.

One change I would make is to leave the 50mm lens at home and get a
lightweight camera like the elph for indoor shots, or where a flash would be
useful. The lens and the camera weigh the same, so I wouldn't be adding
weight.
