Re: [Philmont]: Virus sent from Philmont

I've received several copies in the past few days of one of the
recent anti-IIS viruses.

They've all been sent to an address that's only mentioned on my
Philmont Web pages, so they've probably come from the system of a
scout or scouter. Unfortunately, this particular virus hides its
actual origin by setting the return address to be a random selection
from the victim's address books. All I can tell for sure is that
they originated from someone using @home's cable network
service in the SF Bay area: the messages came by way of
femail43.sdc1.sfba.home.com.

The return address was "Harold Kieffer <RailwayInc@Home.com>"
If you (the reader) live in the SF area and have communicated with Harold,
it probably would be a very good idea to install an antivirus program
with current signatures and use it to run a full system scan.
Or even if you aren't.

sigh.

Selden
