RE: [Philmont]: Virus sent from Philmont

Let's drop this aspect of the thread immediately. It should
be discussed in private.
 
The original posting was similiar to a public service announcement
stating they had received a message, from an employee of Philmont
Scout Ranch, that had a virus.
 
It wasn't from this list. I'm aware of one instance of an infected
message being distributed on this list, and the finger pointing
of that event caused some anger between participants. I don't
have the details with me, but it was not an attachment. For
people with Outlook Express, it was caught without anti-virus
software if the Internet Explorer security setting was set to
Medium.
 
If anyone suspects a message that came from this listserver is
infected, please speak up. There are several people from the
host company subscribed besides Mike from USSSP and myself that
will attempt to determine the originator and let them know.
