Kit Carson really doesn't have much to see that they won't see on the trail; and
it'll be old hat if you do it after the trek. A MUCH better use of the crew's time
is to go into Cimarron and tour the Old Mill Museum, a private concern. It's the
best looksee of old wild west life in and around the area available. Lots of stuff
to look at and, if the Scouts use their imaginations, use to conjure up images of
real cowboy, mining, outlaw, lawman, and ordinary people life in 19th century
Cimarron. Scouts and Scouters get a huge discount on admission if they're in
uniform. The ol' codger running the place wears interpretive costume and is a real
hoot with the Scouts.
