All right, Coop, if we must be technical, They are venturer crews. Take a look at the application. However the real issue was female advisors and Co-ed Crews. The use of the word Crew by Philmont refers to a contingent put together by a council or unit to
 attend Philmont. It is like unto a Jamboree troop, a provisional unit with a short life. It is not any
regularly organized unit although some councils do send intact troops to Jamboree. I am also proud to note my son, now 21 has been a member of three troops and two crews, Three of which were provisional, World95, Jambo97 and World99. If there is any confus
 ion in the ranks, it is because of the poor language choices by national. You have the Venturing program made
of Venturers. Frankly, I think they should have taken more time in their response to the Chicago/Cook County decision
