They work great.
Do not take/buy too many. We picked up 3 at the check-in counter that
another crew left. We used 6 or 7 and also left a few at the counter for
others. Too much trouble to ship, they need a $30 hazardous cargo charge
(at least they did when I ordered a case from Coleman).
I'll just buy 4 from Shelly at TOT Traders and resupply as required in the
backcountry.

I called Philmont on Monday and confirmed which butane/propane cartridge was
sold in the backcountry.
It is the Coleman PowerMax 300 gram fuel cartridge with 60% butane / 40%
propane.
This cartridge will work with Coleman stoves such as the Coleman Exponent
Xpert or Xtreme stoves.
