We have used the Whisperlite for several years with good success. We have
used them in conditions varying from Florida heat to North Carolina rains to
11,000' at Comanche Camp (Philmont). One of the things we like about them
is they are very easy to service in the field. We have only had to do this
a few times when a Scout got too much fuel in the bowl and there was a
carbon build-up. When a Scout joins our Venture program after 7th grade
their Patrol/Crew switches to this stove. I recommend them highly.
