Lorie,

I have always said that we are here for the borderline boys. Some of them
come into our program, and change as they learn new skills. The ones who
walk in the door, want to do fifty milers and advancement, we just give them
a little guidance, and get out of their way. I have had a couple of scouts
like the one you described. Unfortunately, there is only so much we can do
as leaders. Sounds like this young man's family does not want him to "grow".

Thanks for your efforts,

Remember : We are in this program for the boys.......let them lead
