Jason,

Are the round thingies that I've gotten at PTC for completing a course
there awards or patches? What about the ones my son received at the end of
week for family program or Cub Scout program? If the ones created for 2000
that had "50th Summer" were awards in 2000, did they mysteriously become
patches in 2001 when they were offered for sale? How can I distinguish
between the one I've bought and the one I earned?

The rectangle for Urraca trail (you had to complete the trail and the work
sheet, but that merely entitled you to purchase one)?

What about the "I coped at Philmont" tee shirt--award or clothing?

There's so much precision in our language until you need precision.
