Jerry, do cut out all the email text you aren't responding to in order to
keep down the bandwidth. Considered somewhat poor manners to leave the
entire message in your quote.

West Hills is not at sea level, you're higher than us in Fullerton :-)
Won't ask what a Ca cubmaster is doing with a virginia state email address
:-)

Anyway, though I am also overweight and out of shape, I don't have a bad
heart, but I had no problem at all at PTC this last summer. There were
plenty of much heavier scouters than me in attendance, and I never heard any
of them complain of problems.

Drink lots of water! Then you'll probably not have any problems. Besides,
PTC is only around 6100 feet, so you aren't even at altitude, really. If
you drive, you go higher when you cross the continental divide. For most
PTC people (except for the West Fellows), you won't go anywhere higher than
that unless you choose to. You may want to skip the hike up the Urraca
trail (a shame, though), but there are lots of other places to go and see.

I hope you're bringing your family, I guarantee they will have a great time.
When I got an invitation for PTC for 2003, both my kids begged me to accept
(even though it was the same class I took) so they could go again.

You'll have a great time. Don't worry about the altitude.
Regards
Don Roberts
