It is obvious that you used the correct diplomacy with him. Keep it up.
Suggest he read ALL of both Philmont Guides and also the complete guide by
Wally and Coop.
Reading it for yourself is a completely different experience from having
someone parafhrase or quote certain sections of it. Let him get the total
feel for what Philmont really is. He deserves it in a very positive way.
