A technique our family has used for decades of camping for showers is a
Gatorade squeeze bottle, those green sports squeeze bottles. They act as a
water bottle on the trail and then mixed 50/50 with warm water, they work
great as a shower. In fact, my wife and I can both get a shower out of a
single quart bottle, hair washing included.
Of course, this past summer our high venture trip was to the BWAC. A lot to
be said to simply walking into the water at the end of the day and
floating/soaking for an hour or so!! Ah, the rough life!
As to leadership. A "leader" who does not lead by example and does not put
his/her scouts first misses the whole concept of leadership. And, does
nothing to teach leadership to his/her scouts either. The scouts always
come first! Always!
