Honestly, since I have not been to Philmont in the past, I don't know what a
sump even looks like. Typically we use the bottle to squeeze water into a
couple of pack towels - one for washing/rinsing and one for drying where
needed. I guess my point was that to clean a body it does not require
gallons of water pouring over it.

As for how we do it at the sites we frequent, usual rules apply - 100 feet +
away from camp area, food area and streams.
