Brent,

I'm sure you'll be getting lots of suggestions from the list. You will be
able to do what you feel most comfortable with.

My experience is that you probably don't need to do too much. I got my belt
in 1959 and have worn it pretty much continuously. Other than treating it
with neatsfoot oil a couple of years ago after I took a swim in it I haven't
needed to do much of anything with it. They're pretty sturdy.
