Re: [Philmont]: RE: 2003 Treks Question

It has been said previously, and will be said again, but all the itineraries
at Philmont are good. It can be fun and interesting to go over the program
options and itineraries, but I think one can obsess about it and use time
that could be better spent building crew identity and spirit.

A Crew that goes to Philmont with an open mind about where it will go and
what it will see, will do just fine. A Crew that arrives grousing because
it will not climb Baldy has some catching up to do. Philmont is a wonderful
13 day experience, and my observation based on helping five crews prepare
and advising two on the trail is that each Crew thinks the itinerary it did
is the best.
