Hi, I am brand new to this list. Just joined, because I have just been
invited to attend July 20 - 26 for Cub Scout Training ("Supercharging Den
and Pack Programs"). I plan to go alone due to cost, - cheaper to drive? I
hope to take vacation time, and money from work. I have councils permission
to attend PTC. My questions: I am not sure that class I am scheduled for is
best for me - can I or should I request change? Not sure about Driving -
Good idea or Bad Idea? Should I go? Why? First time on list, first time to
be invited to attend PTC - long drive from Los Angeles to PTC? Nervous
because it is new and different, and especially all expenses are out of my
pocket. It will be first vacation I have taken in ten years. I have worked
for Federal Government for over 27 years, but due to health, just started
over with VA 10 years ago. Just wanted to get some knowledgeable feed back
before committing my self and my bankbook. I love Scouting and am very
active at local levels, (son is Webelos, and wife is Webelos asst. leader)
feel training can only help. Thanks in advance for your greatly appreciated
and assistance, and especially your knowledgeable experience! Yours in

Colinas District Membership Chair. (818) 593-4586
