We arrived at Sawmill after a long day on the trail. We had warned the crew
that we had probably missed program. I believe we got there at 5 or 530pm.
When we arrived we were greeted warmly, encouraged to drink the bug juice on
the front porch and had a few minutes to visit with some of the staff while
other staff prepared the reloading program. We got to reload and shoot. My
hat (a favorite target for the entire trek) was hit twice. The program was
efficient, but not hurried. Everyone had a great time. Our two staffers
were nick named "Goose" and "Elvis". We did manage to miss a few of our
program opportunities in 2002 but we would have missed at memorable, fun
time without the great staffers at Sawmill.

The downside of our long day was cooking, eating and cleaning up in a rush
and finishing well after dark. No trouble, since our next day was a small
stroll from Sawmill to the top of Mt. Phillips with a side hike to from
Thunder Ridge to Cyphers for water.

Most of the time I spent "unfound" was in camps like Sawmill (day or night)
and Mt. Phillips (fog and night).
