Re: [Philmont]: Query - Exact Pack Weights With Philmont Supplied Gear?

In '99 we never weighed our packs until we were ready for the trail.

We used Philmont tents, dining fly, cook wear, food, and the little
incidentals they give you like Polar Pure, bear bags, yum yum bag...

The lightest pack leaving base camp was 38 pounds. The heaviest youth pack
was 48 pounds. The adults ranged from my 46 to the SM's 55 pounds.

The 55 pound pack had some of the extra equipment like a spare stove, but I
carried the tent we shared.
