I hope more people would choose to follow Jason's advice. My crew brought a
bunch of patches, OA flaps, and other items with us to trade. I was
pleasantly surprised as my kids "gave" many of these items to staffers that
they met along the trail. The staff really appreciated the gifts. Everybody
has "bad days", even staff at Philmont. The entire time I was in Philmont, I
only met one staffer with a negative attitude. Make a point to say thank you
often, and your scouts will also.
