Ijust read the post about places to stay or visit on the way to Philmont. My
son is in the Air Force and is stationed at Offutt AFB in Omaha . You might
want to visit Offutt's web site at www.offutt.af.mil. It has information
about base tours and contact numbers. The Air Force is very accomadating to
the public. As a matter of fact Boy and Girl Scouts are mentioned as groups
who would receive special attention. In my experiance I have noticed that
the military are very supportive of Scouting. You may also look into other
military bases that are "on your path".
