Susan asked:
> Is it just as fun for the husbands as spouses [at
PTC]?
Susan,
I've had the opportunity to meet several men who were
enjoy the spouse program while their wives were in
conferences like I was. Some greatly enjoyed COPE
experiences, some enjoyed hiking, some enjoyed the
tours and some enjoyed making their own little belts,
custom rubber stamped shirts and other items in the
handicraft lodge at PTC.
Two things I don't recalI are:
(a) any male spouses who sat around grumbling
that they were dragged out to PTC against
their will
(b) any male spouses who were seeking to sub in
for me during my conferences because they
were bored or in need of a meeting 'fix.'
As I mentioned a day or three ago, I'm looking
forward to a point in my schedule where my spouse
goes and enjoys a conference and I get to enjoy
the spouse program. Don't get me wrong, if I had my
druthers, I'd do two weeks back to back, where one
week I was in spouse program and she was in conference
and the next week we flipped places.
THAT would be a great two week vacation in my opinion,
although the odds of me ever getting two back to back
weeks clear on my schedule are sadly quite remote.
