[Philmont]: Trek Itinerary Selection

We are going on our first Philmont trek in 2005. I had assumed that we
would have no choice on the itinerary but now I realize that is not correct.
When should we expect to be given the opportunity to submit our itinerary
requests? Are the different Itineraries consistent from year to year?
