RE: [Philmont]: 2005 Wait List Notice

As we've mentioned a few times here, things get different in Jamboree years.
2005 is a Jamboree year and they seem to be running true to form as for
2001, as they have more cancellations than in non-jamboree years. In 2001,
they got to 300 or so, and it looks like 2005 may be close to that.
However, in the non-jamboree years of 2002, 2003 and 2004, they only got to
around 120. I think we can anticipate 2006 being more like a non-jamboree
year, since it is a non-jamboree year :-). I'd say you better make other
plans.

Philmont 2006 lottery wait list notice received by US Mail today. While we
happen to be Group# 281, which is a relatively lower number than the 1,726
groups, it's a little difficult to make plans yet. Does any recollect
roughly how many groups were selected last year from the wait list to be
offered an active expedition?
