It is my understanding the FedEx and UPS will not guarantee next day
delivery to Philmont. In 04 we drop our card in the mail the same day it
arrived and Philmont notified us that we have received our #1 selection via
email.

I'm not clear on your comment? If I FedEx, next day delivery, to Philmont
on Monday, my package will arrive on Tuesday. If I drop a letter in the
mail box on Monday, there's no way it gets there Tuesday.
I don't want to waste $15 but tell me how that works out the same.
Thanks,
Mike.

Typically, late February or early March. The mailings are sequenced so
the packages arrive at or near the same time in all geographical areas
of
the USA.
Now, should you FedEx your selection card back to Philmont? In my
opinion, only if you want to waste money. Remember that Cimarron NM is a
very, very rural part of the country and USPS service is typically just
as
fast as FedEx or any of the other options. And, NO, Philmont will not
let
you e-mail or fax your selections.
