In addition to some really good socks, I like to (and strongly recommend) use a pair of liners inside of the socks. They look like a really thin pair of socks, and wick the moisture away from your feet so that at the end of the day, you won't have stinky feet, and also prevent chafing of feet while you are wearing your boots and prevent you from having any blisters. I know EMS has them, and I am sure you can get them elsewhere. I had a pair for each pair of socks.
