Our adults all carried Eureka Spitfires this summer ( 1 man tents, about 3.2 pounds each). The only restriction was no hammocks, no bivvies.

It is my understanding that no one is allowed in a one man tent. Maybe this only applies to Bivi (sp?) styles. However, the idea is that the bigger the tent, the less inviting it is to a bear when the tents are "clustered" as they should be. My 2 cents.
