[Philmont]: autumn adventure

In future posts, I will talk about that part of Autumn Adventure that involves setting up a base camp and taking day hikes, which may be the primary interest of Gary's crew (which started this thread), as well as my own preference for attempting to duplicate, as much as possible, a summer expedition.
