I just got a call from Fran (wonderful person, that Fran).
She says there were 80 units that got a double H slot that
DID NOT sign up for it. It was an error by their internet
sign up folks. She said that these units did get numbers
assigned to them that correspond to where they would have been
on the waitlist had they not been given the double h slot.
She also said that the number is what those units will get
if they turn down the double H slot. So, rather than being
on the front of the list for Phil treks, they will be
wherever they would have been anyway. She told me my troop
would have been somewhere around 300 had we not been given an
HH slot, and that is where we will be on the wait list
if we turn HH down.
Fran also said Betty would be sending out an email TODAY
to those 80 units letting them know the above.
During our discussion, Fran mentioned that they rarely get
past 125 on the wait list (which matches the experience that
has been posted here on this list in the past), and that they
are a bit higher this year (2006 treks) but she doesn't know why.
Regards
Don Roberts
