Here's some notes I made after my 2003 AA trek. Perhaps you can get the
feel for how tough it was.

This year was especially taxing. I mean, how long can you stare at the
azure blue sky, deep forest green of the pines with brilliant gold splashes
of aspen before your eyes began to ache?

And the night skies? How many times in one lifetime do you need to see a
billion stars gathered together in one spot?

Our guide tried to help. She was a tough redhead named Karen who insisted
we use a camp vehicle to haul us and our gear to Beaubien to set up camp.
And then, of all things, she made us play dominoes way past 9 PM every
night.

The temperatures? Those blazing 75 degre highs and frigid 30 deg lows made
it hard to sleep past 8 AM.

And then I ran out of film before I ran out of pictures.

I don’t know when I’ll ever go back.

PS. Oh, one good point; the Tooth of Time seems to be surviving well.
