I've gone on 2 treks and both times we have used 2 of the 96 oz Nalgene canteens. They are great to transport water into dry camp, treat water or just to carry from spigot to camp site. They don't weight much empty and colapse to about the size of a nalgene lid. Below is information form the Campmor web page. Also come in a 48 oz size.

Nalgene makes some collapsible thin plastic "cubes" that are 1 quart size.  Someone in our crew found them.  They worked great for nights on Phillips, and Tooth Ridge, as we needed to carry extra water into dry camps. On days when we did not neeed them, they collapsed back down to a few small, light packages. Chas. Clifton
