As an airline employee, even to me the price structures can be unbelieveable1 However, you must understand that if an aircraft holds 150 passengers, then the airline has to make "x" number of dollars from those 150 people. If your group wants a fare for the majority of those seats, versus a party of several people, your group will pay a higher fare than the internet ones, sometimes substantially higher. The smaller group represents a smaller percentage of the profits and so can be given a greater discount per person without affecting the net profit of that flight. That's why those lower fares are so restricted! Good luck, try several air carriers, and try again if you don't like the answers. Fares at my airline change 4 times a day! Karen Bettin
