I was carrying a Kelty, that I think my parents still have. Everyone else
was carrying that BSA pack that was a great big bag. Canvas shoulder straps
and no hip belt. Top cover came over and flap covered the top. No pockets
that I remember. Tough part was packing it so you did not have something
sticking you in the back. In my case, my Kelty could not carry the large pot
so I had to tie it on the outside.

In 1967, all of 625-I's packs were external frame. So external that the
frame was sold separately from the pack.
