Simple. You tell Scouts and their parents up front and frequently
remind everyone that you are serious about the conditions of
participation. Whether or not they get any benefit from the money they
have coughed up is entirely up to them.

We had over $50,000 invested in our last Phil-adventure (4 full crews
from our troop). If you have to manage that kind of money you've got to
be tough enough to function in a businesslike manner.
