Philmont safety rules obviously prevent things like solo hikes, but I think
it's still possible to have alone time. When you're actually on the trail,
it could come during scheduled rest stops like lunch, when you encourage the
crew to spread out a little or take some time for personal reflection.
Paradoxically, the best place for alone time may be in crowded staffed
camps, where there's a little more room to spread out and where you could
skip part of the program to have quiet time.
