It is usual to provide some "alone time" at a summer camp, so it
should be possible to have "alone time" on a Philmont trek. The
crew advisor could suggest that the crew should schedule this.

Part of the fun and value in Scouting events, including a Philmont trek,
is to have some alone time in which you can reflect on all the good things
happening.
