Re: [Philmont]: wilderness 1st aid question

My experience dates from 2003 -- wilderness first aid certificate from Red
Cross, SOLO, WMA, or other recognized provider is accepted and welcomed by
Philmont.

CPR "normally" is not part of a WFA course. It is not part of the American
Red Cross WFA curriculum nor the SOLO curriculum. When I took WMA WFA course
in late 2002, CPR was included.

Get separate CPR training and card for your trek to meet Philmont
requirements. Philmont will want to see the card(s) for adults and youth (if any) in
your crew.

If one obtains a wilderness 1st aid certification [from American Red Cross],
can this be accepted instead of the 1st aid certification? how about instead

of CPR certification? This would be for the 3rd adult on our trek.
