The change was from the phone call-in to the Internet lottery. It does not take any effort now for a crew to take a shot and then decide if they want to accept a slot should they get one. With the call-in system, just trying to get a slot was a major effort.

The other change (should be) that the Waiting List is much longer - everyone who has any interest is on it, where with the call-in system if you never got through before they stopped taking calls, you never got on it in the first place.
